Unfortunately I will be unable to attend the meeting tomorrow. By way of update on the financial position I would advise that as at close of business today the accounts stand at:
CAF Cash account £1,937.63
CAF Gold £27,718.29.
We have received the following payments of note:
£250 from Farnham Round Table as a charitable donation from their charity funds. This is in addition to the £200 received for our responders’ assistance at the event.
£765.85 from Phyllis Tuckwell in settlement of the invoice for snow assistance.
All mileage payments claimed have been paid. If any responders have not emailed me their mileage and wish to claim the same please let me know asap.
We are awaiting payment from Woking & Sam Beare Hospices and Surrey County Council. I anticipate that the payment from SCC will be received in the next month and WSBH will be chased if not received as last year they were quite slow.
Another point I would like you all to think about is BTmydonate is closing at the end of June. They have been invaluable in helping our fundraising and giftaid donations. Virginmoney are the next candidate as they will give us free joining up and their charges are minimal to deal with the giftaid aspect. They only levy a fee to us as a charity rather than charging the person giving us money, as that can be off-putting. Justgiving are very expensive by comparison, charging the donee as well as the donor. Unless there is any specific objection then I suggest we sign up with Virginmoney. Please could this be discussed and any preference noted?
I would also like to thank everyone for their support over the last 15 months whilst I have been battling with breast cancer and the treatment for the same. I will, unfortunately, be standing down at the AGM as I am unable to commit the time to the charity that it deserves as not only do I have to consider my health issues, but I am also deeply involved with the care and affairs of my elderly parents who are both suffering with dementia and other health issues. I am happy to speak to anyone interested in taking this on but please submit nominations through to trustees@surrey4x4response.org
