I do agree that technology is killing driving enjoyment for folks like us who have a passion for all things 4-wheeled (and 3-wheeled in my case). Aside from the issue of reliability, getting involved is more important to me than merely being a passenger. I might be biased I guess, with an entirely manual household fleet (2 of which don’t even have ABS or powered brakes/steering, ESP, TC or anything electrical apart from headlights and sparks….), but I can see where the author is coming from.
